These little Archos 70 Internet tablets aren’t exactly the greatest tablets you could buy but the $279 price tag sure does make them a little more interesting.  As far as specs go, they’re sort of middle-of-the-road, but in a good way.
They run on a ARM Cortex A8 processor at a pretty standard 1GHz and only include 8GB of Flash storage—no loading it up with tons of illegally downloaded movies for you, mister!  However, they are running on Android 2.2 so that’s definitely a big plus.

The touch screen itself is a 800 X 480 capacitive model which works wonders with the OpenGL ES 2.0 accelerator.  And just because Apple did it first, the new Archos tablets come with front-facing cameras.
As far as connectivity goes, these little multimedia machines will suck the Internets via 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and are also equipped with Bluetooth—like everything else you can buy now.  The ports are a bit limited but at least there’s a microSDHC slot so you can store a little bit more than the wimpy hard drive will allow you to.
If you want more storage, you can wait a few months for the launch of the 250GB model but be prepared to drop $350 on that bad boy.
All things considered, there are better tablets out there . . . and there are worse.  The choice is a personal one but if you want to hit up Archos for more details,
